Thomas L. Moore Jr. was born in Washington D.C. and started his training at Towson University under Vincent Thomas, Catherine Horta-Hayden, Runqiao Du and Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell. During this time, he also studied on scholarship at the 2010 and 2012 American Dance Festival under Jeffrey Bullock, Michelle Gibson, Gerri Houlihan and Ming Yang and at the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference 2011.



Thomas graduated with a  BFA in Dance Performance and  BA in Mass Communications/ Journalism at Towson University.

 Thomas has performed works by Ursula Payne and Helen Pickett of William Forsythe, Algernon Campbell, Vincent Thomas, Robert Battle, Shawn Short, Keith Thomas, Step Afrika's Jakari Sherman, Briana Stuart, Charles O. Anderson, Tommie Waheed-Evans and Runqiao Du.

Thomas is currently a company member with Christopher K. Morgan & Artists and VTDance and has been a guest artist with Johnnie Mercer: The RED ProjectNYC, Campbell Dance Experience, S.J Ewing & Dancers, and apprenticed with Dissonance Dance Theatre in DC.  

Choreographically, Thomas has presented work at Towson University Company Concert 2016, Dance & Desert Showcase at American Dance Institute 2015, and has had his work adjudicated at the American College Dance Festival’s Mid-Atlantic Region in March 2012 and 2013. Thomas will present work in the Velocity Dance Festival 2016.


Pedagogically, Thomas teaches modern at Maryland School of Dance, was adjunct faculty at Towson University Spring 2016 and will be Guest Choreographer at Georgetown University Fall 2016.
